Jean-Marc MALASOMA

I studied physics at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6). After earning a Master’s degree in theoretical physics (Field Theory and High-Energy Physics), I was a member of the NA4 experiment team at the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN. The goal of this experiment was the experimental study of the deeply inelastic scattering of muons on nucleons.
After completing an engineering program at the Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics ENTPE, I defended a doctoral thesis at the École Centrale de Lyon (ECL) on the chaotic dynamics of a system with multiple attractors modeled by a nonlinear Mathieu equation.
I have been a permanent researcher at the Geomaterials Laboratory since 1994 and am a member of the American Physical Society (APS), the French Physical Society (SFP), the European Physical Society (EPS), and the Italian Società Italiana Caos e Complessità SICC.
I am now retired.
